Papa Panov
Papa Panov, was a great play to do for Christmas, it really got the message of Christmas across and we enjoyed it so much!
The dressing up, all the practices and it got us time off school.
We practiced day after day some days we practiced for the whole day. Unfortunately the snow came and we thought the play would have to be cancelled but we had put so much effort into it the teachers thought we should have it after Christmas to cheer everyone up for January.
We put on the play on the 15th of January and in my opinion it turned out better than any of the practices. We had a great time getting the make up on, I was a
Noble and we had to waltz. We had a blast showing the juniors how to waltz too.
It wasn't just waltzing the roadsweepers put on a “cossack” dance which they did really well, Curtis was able to do really good cartwheels and Richard and James clapping and dancing along too. There was also singing in the play by the fishwives and the gentle woman. It really was a play to remember. Some mothers came in and did the make up for us, which was much appreciated because we all looked posh and snobby and looked like our characters. All the seats were filled, not one seat empty. In fact I think there was some people standing. It was a very special play because it was the first play the school has ever had that included the whole school! I will always remember my last play in primary school and how much fun I had.
Everyone seemed to enjoy it and it made everyone so happy after Christmas.
